The Shenandoah County Democrats worked hard in the 2008 election.

• We helped elect Barack Obama President.  This is the first time a Democratic candidate for President has carried Virginia since 1964.
• We helped elect Mark Warner U.S. Senator.  Warner won in Shenandoah County with 51% of the votes.
• We helped Sam Rasoul run a competitive campaign for U.S. Congress.  Rasoul reenergized the 6th Congressional District Democrats.

Based on this success, we are continuing to build our party, and are working to help our Democratic candidates win in 2009.  Join our team.
